You need power to change things

In one way or the other, I am sure there are things you might want to change about the world, your life or probably just your current circumstances. Maybe you’ll like to earn more, or you’ll prefer the government did their Jobs a little better, or even still, you might like a nicer world. There is no shortage of things we would like to see change in the world, however so slightly.

May bold guess right now will be that your greatest assets for this change to happen are just your hopes and dreams. Even though they are very strong, unfortunately they are immaterial and can’t produce any physical effect to these problems, which are very much physical.

The way you translate these very strong hopes and wishes into actionable realities is by acquiring power.

Wishes are very interesting, out there is a world of wishers, people who are constantly wishing for something new every single minute. You had a wish waking up and am very certain you’ll have a wish when you go to bed again, even if it’s just a wish for a sound sleep. You see that we are surrounded by wishes, hopes, desires, all of which are immaterial and still stuck in our heads.

Turning wishes into realities

We can’t say the strongest wish is what has the highest chance of turning in to reality, but rather the people with the greatest power have the greatest chance of turning their wishes into realities. By power here, I mean the categories of power that encompass various aspects of influence and control in the world, things like:

  • Financial power
  • Economic power
  • Political power
  • Social power
  • Institutional power
  • Technological power
  • Military power
  • Cultural power
  • Global power

The materialization of your hopes and wishes falls under the influence of one of these categories of power. Whether you want to solve world hunger, or just get a better house, you’ll need to acquire power in one of these categories. Here is an example, imagine you don’t like the type of music being played over the radio, you wish music was better, you can then seek to acquire cultural power to help you change that. The way you turn your wishes into reality is by acquiring power in these categories which is going to allow you to have an impact in the physical world.

We just complain

Evidently, acquiring power is no easy feat. It’s a challenge on its own and requires so much effort to do. It takes decades of work and patience for things to work out and even then nothing is certain, so most people resort to just complaining and airing out their frustrations. They’ll say things like “I wish the world was a better place”, sure, but are you ready to take the steps to make that happen? It’s as simple as acquiring enough political and economic power to shape entire continents, and then you can sway the balance of the world in one direction or the other. Unless your plan is just for a magical event ✨ to make the world all of a sudden a better place.

Conclusion

Even at your low level, there are things you can do to make your wishes come through. Take for example, imagine a boulder is blocking your way, you have the choice of just wishing for it to move or going an acquiring physical power to turn your wishes into actions. I know it sounds harsh but that’s the reality we are born in, and I think it’s time you realize that wishes aren’t able to impact the real world, but they can trigger a set of events which can, so go out there and acquire some power then make your wishes comes through.
